Delete your account
In short. In MacroMatrix, go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. Your account and all your data are deleted from our servers right away. You can do the same in the web app, or ask us by email if you no longer have the app.
In the app (Android)
- Open MacroMatrix and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the gear icon at the top right to open Settings.
- In the account section, tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE (or VERWIJDEREN if the app is in Dutch) and tap Delete permanently.
In the web app, without the Android app
- Go to macromatrix.eu and log in with your email address and password. Forgot your password? Use "Forgot password" on the login screen to get a code by email.
- Open Settings: on a computer in the sidebar, on a phone via the Profile tab and the gear icon.
- Tap Delete account, type DELETE and confirm with Delete permanently.
By email
Can't log in anymore? Email privacy@macromatrix.eu from the email address of your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours, and we delete it within 30 days (usually much sooner).
What is deleted
Everything linked to your account, right away and for good:
- your login (email address and password) and the moment you accepted the terms;
- your profile, goals, preferences and allergies;
- your diary, recipes, saved meals, your own products, supplements, notes and scan history;
- your measurements, exercise, fasts and data imported from Health Connect;
- your friends profile (name, photo or avatar, level, title, badges), your friendships, weekly scores, battles and challenges (challenges you created are removed for all members);
- your Pro status, your daily photo, label and recipe counters and your notification device code.
Your friends no longer see you from that moment on.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups: copies of the database in our encrypted backups disappear within 30 days. They are not used for anything else.
- Products you shared with Open Food Facts: if you chose to share a scanned product, that product (barcode, name, brand, nutrition values and label photo) was published openly by Open Food Facts without your name or account. It is not linked to you and stays there; we cannot withdraw it.
- Nothing else is kept. Photos, voice recordings, recipe links and pages were never stored in the first place.
Data on your phone or computer
The device where you delete your account removes your data right away; only the language and theme you chose stay. On other phones or browsers where you used MacroMatrix, a copy is kept on that device only, until you uninstall the app (Android) or clear the site data for macromatrix.eu in your browser. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from the phone; the app does not keep a cloud backup of its own.
Want a copy first? Use Profile → Settings → Export diary (CSV) before you delete your account.
Nederlands: je account verwijderen
In de app: open MacroMatrix, ga naar het tabblad Profiel, tik rechtsboven op het tandwiel (Instellingen), tik bij je account op Account verwijderen, typ VERWIJDEREN en tik op Definitief verwijderen.
Zonder de app: log in op macromatrix.eu en volg dezelfde weg (op een computer staat Instellingen in de zijbalk). Kun je niet meer inloggen? Mail dan vanaf het e-mailadres van je account naar privacy@macromatrix.eu; we verwijderen je account binnen 30 dagen.
Wat verdwijnt: je login, profiel, dagboek, recepten, eigen producten, metingen, beweging, gegevens uit Health Connect, je vriendenprofiel, vriendschappen, scores, battles en uitdagingen, je Pro-status en tellers. Dat gebeurt meteen en definitief.
Wat blijft: kopieën in onze back-ups verdwijnen binnen 30 dagen. Producten die je zelf met Open Food Facts deelde, staan daar openbaar zonder je naam of account en blijven bestaan. Verder bewaren we niets.
Op je toestel: het toestel waarop je je account verwijdert, wist je gegevens meteen. Op andere toestellen blijft een kopie tot je de app verwijdert of de sitegegevens van macromatrix.eu in je browser wist.
